And it’s been quite the whirlwind. Much has happened since my last post, way back in the early days of Fall. I lost my sweet mother to a long, arduous battle with Ovarian Cancer; watched a dear family member succumb to the wildly destructive and disheartening throws of a manic disorder; and had the blessing of delivering into this world, a healthy and beautiful baby boy. Life is no doubt a roller-coaster ride, and with these past many months of living, simultaneously, in two opposite sides of the spectrum of what this life has to offer, I can honestly say I have never been so sober minded, so clear, so astutely aware of what this life is all about, at least for me, and what I am so tremendously grateful for. I am filled with love and peace and gratitude. I am filled with an appreciation for the many gifts, although sometimes fleeting, we are all given. One of those gifts, for me, is this sweet little guy. Luca Kenneth Paulson.
